Meet Kathy

Kathy's knowledge of the Oregon area, people, lifestyles and the real estate market is vast! She loves working with folks from all walks of life; it’s what makes her job interesting and enjoyable. It is important to Kathy that she earns the trust of anyone she works with and most importantly that the needs of her clients will be met. Kathy’s business is built on her relationships with her clients - past, present, and future. By focusing on their needs and desires, she creates lasting trust and friendships.

Kathy has been part of the John L. Scott team for 20 years, a company with integrity where brokers "live life as a contribution." Giving back is important to her and she is proud to be part of the John L. Scott Foundation which helps support local children's medical needs.

A native Oregonian, Kathy moved to beautiful and sunny Central Oregon in 1991 from the Santa Clarita Valley in California where she had lived for 10 years.  She grew up in a small town of 3,000 people in the Willamette Valley, but is proud to call Bend “home.”

After high school Kathy attended community college on a volleyball scholarship, but soon after, her life was completely transformed when she was signed by Elite Model Management. Kathy went from a small town girl to living in Los Angeles and working as an actress and model. What she thought would be a brief career blossomed into more than 20 years in the modeling industry. Kathy’s modeling allowed her to travel the world and learn about cultures and lifestyles across the globe in Japan, China, Korea, Germany, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, South America and more.

After she moved to Bend, Kathy worked as a marketing and sales director at a private golf and country club, followed by part ownership of a restaurant in downtown Bend called “Barcelona Jazz & Tapas.” Combined with all of her past experiences, Kathy realized that her passion is in customer service and helping others, and life as a real estate broker has been a perfect fit for her!

When not working Kathy enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband Don, who works for Papé Machinery/John Deere. Kathy’s son is a 2018 graduate of Oregon State University and currently working at Nike headquarters in Beaverton, OR.  Her daughter welcomed her first child on New Year's eve 2019, so Kathy is enjoying this new chapter in life!

Kathy has many passions and interests including camping and travel, vintage trailers, live music/concerts, piano, guitar, singing, photography, golf and tennis. She also enjoys fine dining experiences with her husband at many of the incredible restaurants and breweries Central Oregon has to offer!
